The water treatment system in Kisenyi was provided with a new filter. The filters are of the same type as swimming pool filters and reduce the turbidity in the water after settlement so that the water is ready for chlorination. Instead of changing only the broken part, the entire filter was upgraded to a type that is now locally available in Uganda and therefore spares will be more easily accessible for the water committee. The newly installed filter is working very well and the members of the committee are pleased with it.
