Abstract

This paper proposes a system which allows project facilitators to receive day-to-day data on water production, sales and expenditures from community based water projects. By utilizing existing cell phone infrastructure and applying specially developed hardware, the system aims at providing “live” quantitative data to the project supervisor at a low cost, with the ultimate goal to increasing efficiency and improve project success rates.
